Pretty tasty American food. They have a vegetarian burger that's made in Oregon and can be served with fruit or fries. The biggest drawback is the service is a bit slow. If you plan on eating here, bring a friend who's a good conversationalist!

We were in a hurry and therefore willing to sacrifice high quality food for fast service. Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way for us. At Shari's of The Dalles, we got mediocre food with friendly but slow service.

I went there with my mom,aunt and uncle recently.The food was good as always with most Shari's Restaurants.Although,the service was not so grand.

Very poor service. The wait was long for no reason. It took forever to get our food and had to ask multiple times for creamer and refills on coffee. Our quick breakfast ended up taking over 2 hours. They definitely need some better service.

This is this first time we ever walked out of a restaraunt. We are normally a very patient family as we understand how busy places can get. However at 6 pm few tables filled we expected better. I would avoid this restaurant unless you happen to be a local. We have been in numerous sharis in our travels and have decided we will NEVER darken sharis doors again. The service in this place was atrocious. There were three servers and two cooks. The place was not busy by any means. My family ordered a burger a sandwich and a salad. 20 minutes later the burger and sandwich rested on deck for serving. Then the salad finally showed up. Our servers name was called out ans she walked by the kitchen at least twice while the food was resting there. In the meantime, our waitress during this food "resting time" seated three tables of locals, carried on conversations, took their orders, served their drinks, cashed out a couple other tables, and cleared and set tables before, we as a family picked up went to her and paid for our drinks. This was an hour after we we were seated.. the food still remained on the deck for service and the cook called our servers name the last time as we walked out frustrated; angry and hungry. So the point is. If you are a local and know the waitresses you get 5 star service. If you are a traveler or tourist, your service is subpar.

Horrible horrible horrible. And thats knowing not to expect to much. No refill on my water and waitress was complaining loudly for all to hear about a non tipper. Big no no!

My wife and i went there this morning and was standing there waiting to be seated as the waitress and supervisor sat infront of us talking about our classic car. My wife had to ask them if they could see us. We were the ONLY ppl there. Sat down got drinks and she went to lunch waited 7minutes before we just got up and left. Went to the pancake house and was seated quickly. Ate and left in 30minutes with awsome service even with being a little busy
